1 Overview​

Description​

SAP Document Management Service (DMS) is a cloud service on SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) that allows enterprises to securely store, organize, and manage documents in a scalable repository. It provides:

  • Centralized document storage and retrieval.
  • API access via CMIS and REST interfaces.
  • Options for both Integration (API access) and Repository (document storage) plans.

By integrating DMS with the SAP Document Grounding Service (part of Generative AI Hub), enterprises can:

  • Feed enterprise documents into Large Language Models (LLMs).
  • Improve contextual grounding for generative AI.
  • Reduce hallucinations and provide business-relevant, accurate responses.
